My Traveling TIPS

Traveling Tips

Traveling can be stressful, which is why enjoying my flight becomes my #1 priority while I’m getting ready for a trip. This way I’m looking forward to my flight vs dreading it. Most airlines offer comfortable seating, great service, and entertainment, but unfortunately, not all flights have your basic needs on board, which is why you should always come prepared. I have traveled a lot throughout my life and you can say I’m sort of an expert. Here I’m sharing my personal traveling tips, to make sure my traveling experience runs smoothly.

Airport Terminal - HOT

#1 - Make Plans and Book in Advance

Make sure to book everything in advance, from your flight trip, hotel stay, transportation and others. Especially if you’ve never been at a particular location, it’s very important to do your research and have several places figured out before you arrive. Make sure to do your homework, read reviews, download apps and ask questions, in order to save you some time from the stress and hassle from figuring things out when you arrive.

#2 - Snacks and Treats

Pack Snacks and Treats for your Flight = There’s nothing worse than to fly on an empty stomach and not having anything to eat. Lately, on the airplanes, they don’t have much to offer in terms of food and snacks, and I cannot be long hours on a flight without not having much to eat. This is why I always make sure to pack snacks inside my backpack, so that I’m not hungry while I’m on the plane. Before boarding time, I always make sure to buy some extra food, beverages, and snacks since we can’t pass beverages through security. This way I can enjoy my flight, avoid getting a headache and a growling stomach.

#3 - Comfort

Dress Comfortably = When I’m packing for my trip, I make sure to have my outfit and shoes ready for the airport. This way I can avoid the headache of taking so many things off, going through security. I always make sure to fly comfortable, especially on long hour flights. If I have an event or business meeting as soon as I arrive at my destination, I make sure to pack an extra outfit in my carry-on.

#4 - Medication

Bring your Personal Medication = Most people tend to forget or they don’t make medication a priority, while they’re planning their trip. I believe this traveling tip is very important because you never know when you might need some medical assistance while you’re on your flight. Most flights don’t carry medication and there’s nothing worse to not have any medication when you need it; especially when you are on a long hour flight. You never know when you might be getting a headache, migraine, an upset stomach, allergy reaction, nausea or any other symptom. Lately, I’ve been getting motion sickness while traveling, which is why I always carry my Dramamine pills with me at all times, just in case I start to feel dizzy or nauseous.

#5 - RELAX

RELAX & Enjoy your Flight = REMEMBER- This is your trip, your flight, so you most definitely deserve to enjoy it! Make sure to bring your own headphone, earplugs and a sleeping mask just in case you need it. Always bring a comfortable traveling pillow, a cozy blanket, and a jacket, just in case if it gets chilly and enjoy your flight!
