A Day in Chicago’s Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park
Since I’ve been traveling to Chicago frequently, I have to get to know this city better. I’ve always wanted to explore Chicago, discover its unique beauty and history. Chicago has so much to offer, it has breathtaking views and lots of great places to enjoy. Since I love nature and history, I had to check out the 2nd most popular and visited park in the U.S. which is the Nature Boardwalk at Lincoln Park. The Lincoln Park is the city’s largest public park, named after the U.S. President Abraham Lincoln. The Nature Boardwalk was built in the 1900’s, a perfect place to appreciate the natural ecosystem, enjoy its nature and mostly the breathtaking view of Chicago’s skyline.
At the Lincoln park you can appreciate a zoo, the beautiful lakeshore and gardens. You can enjoy the wildlife and I was able to see a couple of exotic animals like beautiful Flamingos, Japanese colorful fish, cows and my favorite: Zebras 😍💕
I had to explore the Chicago city during the Fall/Winter season, one of the best seasons to get cozy and get ready for the most exciting holidays and festivities coming up. During the holiday season their known for their Zoo Lights, an exciting event to see the beautiful big trees of the zoo all covered in thousands of colorful lights. This is the season when I can start wearing my fave boots, cozy accessories and outfits.
During the Fall/Winter season I’ve been studying the most popular looks and fashion worn during this season and here I wanted to share my top 2 favorite F/W’19 looks:
# 1- French School Girl Style
Walking through the Nature’s Boardwalk arch I felt like I was in France by wearing this long soft trench coat from EXPRESS, boots and my French style wool beret hat. The French school girl style has been very popular this F/W’19 and I’m really loving this look. There’s nothing better than having a nice cup of hot coffee, apple cider or tea during this season while feeling European in this French style look wherever you go.
I got my school girl uniform style outfit from American Eagle Outfitters and a scarf which has been another popular accessory this season. You can find all kinds of really cool looking scarves anywhere to keep you warm during the F/W season.
# 2- The City Look
While I was walking, exploring and enjoying the view of Chicago’s skyline I was wearing a yellow turtleneck top with a black leather skirt from EXPRESS and long black thigh high boots from ALDO. Turtleneck tops and sweaters have been very popular this F/W season and they come in so many cute styles and colors. I used to not be into turtleneck tops in the past, but I like the fact that it helps cover your neck from the cold and it gives you a stylish look at the same time.
Another popular accessory this F/W’19 season is the winter wool captain cap hat, which you can wear it as an alternative to the basic winter hat, giving you a unique stylish look. With my captain cap, Fluffy faux fur coat, thigh high boots and black leather gloves I complete my F/W look and I’m ready to face this exciting season.
Hope you guys enjoy these F/W styles! Feel free to share with me which F/W looks are your fave and what other popular F/W looks you like.
